Luna's orthopaedic surgery

Just like the rest of us Luna a 10 month old Cavoodle was trying to escape the boredom of self isolation with a run at the beach when she had an accident!

She was brought to the hospital after an injury to her left foreleg in a considerable amount of pain.

After examination Dr Lisa provided her with some immediate pain relief as she suspected a fracture. X-rays showed poor Luna had fractured both her radius and ulna and that the fracture was displaced which would require surgery.

Luna was scheduled to have orthopedic surgery with Dr Matt to repair the fracture.

Dr Matt used a plate and a number of screws to piece Luna's fractured leg back together. She has since been back for a recheck and with lots of rest is doing fabulously.
