Going On Holidays? Wondering who should look after your pets while you're away?

With holidays drawing nearer when planning for your trip away whether it be a week overseas or weekend down the coast the question is often asked who should take care of my pets whilst I'm away? What are the options? Once upon a time the options were either a boarding kennel or a helpful neighbor. However these days the options for pet care are wide and varied and it very much depends on what you feel is best for your pets. In Home Pet Care This is often a good option for pet

Is Your Dog Unwell or Just Getting Old?

We have had quite a few dogs in of late showing a set of symptoms that are at once vague but also distinctive. Most of us might recognise our dogs slowing down as they get older and presume this is just the normal aging process. We may notice they get a bit slower to get up in the morning, not as energetic on a walk, putting on some weight, feeling the heat and not having that spark of energy they use to have. The question is is this just to be expected or is there something

    Hannah’s Halitosis

“ Hannah” a Shih Tzu cross Poodle came in today for a lump removal but during our examination we noticed her dental disease and resulting bad breath. She benefited from a full scale and polish but unfortunately some teeth we were unable to be save and had to be removed. She received lots of pain relief and even local anaesthesia, just like humans do, so that when she woke up from the anaesthesia, she was comfortable and relaxed. I have no doubt that her human companion’s will

    Update on amazing Lucy!

Lucy had major surgery to remove an enormous tumour from her liver back in February. Lucy stayed in hospital overnight to recover and the next day she was discharged. She has a new lease on life and it's so fantastic to see. We have since received great news from the biopsy results that despi

    Dear Lucy & Shadow!

Lucy the 12yr old Jack Russell came to us on Monday not feeling to well. We did a few blood tests and an ultrasound on her belly. Unfortunately we found a large tumour growing off her liver. Matt performed surgery on Wednesday and Tabby & Pooch Pet Services was kind enough to donate blood from our hero dog Shadow in the case of an emergency during her surgery. After an hour and a half the tumour was removed with no complications! Lucy is now recovering at home and doing well,
